Gardening with an ALTITUDE in the Rocky Mountain Region
I'm passionate about gardening the way Nature intended.
Regionally known gardening expert, radio and television host, author, columnist, and former horticulture specialist for Colorado State University Extension, John Cretti has more than 40+ years of horticulture experience. John hosted the Gardening with an Altitude radio program for thirty years in Denver Colorado, as well as providing expertise on Rocky Mountain Gardening for area TV and HGTV.

This is garden gnomes garden in springtime.
Magnificent. Simply magnificent.
I have spent most of my life growing all kinds of plants, beginning as a child under the tutelage of my Italian grandmother, aunts and uncle. These early experiences of old fashioned gardening techniques turned out to be invaluable, as it paved the way for my formal training at CSU and out in the field.
I have written hundreds of articles and features for newspapers, magazines including Flower and Garden, Horticulture, Colorado and Boulder County Home & Garden, Green Thumb Extra, Garden Talk, Rocky Mountain News and Post Independent. I've been columnist and contributing editor for the National Gardening Association and contribute to various other websites.
Unparalleled horticulturist with the soul of a true gardener.
